TGIF

Come!  Enjoy!   Fellowship!

TGIF is a time for adults of any age to gather together to relax and visit.  It is a great time to get to know folks better.  It typically starts at 6:30 p.m. on the last Friday of the month at the home of one of our members, but check the events calendar to the left for specifics.

Bring a beverage of your choice and an appetizer to share.  Daycare provided at the church.  Call the church office in advance if you need daycare.  The hosts will provide non-alcoholic beverage.  Need a ride? Contact Sandy Bilstad at 669-3607 to make arrangements.  See you there!

Woman to Woman

Are you looking for an intimate, casual, yet thought-provoking study designed especially for women?  Woman to Woman is just such a group.  This year, we'll be reading and discussing What Women Want:  The Life You Crave and How God Satisfies by Lisa T. Bergren and Rebecca Price.  The group meets the First Monday of the month.  See the newsletter or the events calendar to the left for this month's details.    If you have any further questions, please contact Desiree Boyce at 622-0212 or email her at drbt2006@msn.com

O.W.L.S.

Do you want to get together with other Older and Wiser Lutherans?  We are a social and learning group who meet during lunch.  It is open to anyone.  There are no dues and no commitments.  There is board consisting of four people who try to invite interesting speakers and devotions.  We travel to museums or places of interest.  When providing lunch, we ask for a donation of $6.00 .  When we go out for lunch everyone is on their own.  We try and keep the cost down so everyone can attend.  We would invite anyone to attend and would also invite anyone to become a member of the board.  We always appreciate new ideas for meetings.

If you have any questions, please contact one of the board members:  Gerry Sanders at 667-3291 or
Donna Gatton at 667-1210.

Zion Book Group

Zion Book Group is an informal bunch of readers who choose books, read, and discuss one book a month from September to May each year.  Anyone can join the group at any time. We meet on the third Thursday each month at 7:00 p.m. at home of members. We try to select quality literature with a wide range of issues, not just religious concerns. If you have any questions, please contact Scott Sprain.

November:
The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls.  This intense, best selling memoir presents a deeply dysfunctional family with a brilliant father who drank, a free-spirit mother who hated anything domestic, and children who learned to care for themselves.
