Coming Attractions

CAMP SONSHINE is opening in Fall of 2010 and all of you are invited to bask in the light of the SON with us!

Zion’s Sunday School Program (for K through 5th grade) is changing its name and its approach and we are excited to invite you to come on this learning adventure with us!  We are changing to a “rotation model” approach to Sunday School where we use multi-sensory learning stations to teach children Bible stories in 4 or 5 week blocks.  CAMP SONSHINE will include a music station, a science station, a cooking station, an art station, a movie station and even a drama and storytelling station!  Led by their “Camp Counselors” children will experience Bible stories in exciting ways.  Each station will have two “Wilderness Guides” who will teach them a new angle to the story every week.  After the rotation concludes, the kids will know that story like a key on a trail map!

We are going to need lots of help to make this change by August!   We are confident that God is guiding us and that the people of Zion will support us in any way they can.  In the newsletter you will find a Sunday School Registration Form for your children, grandchildren, neighbors and friends as well as a volunteer section for any Zion members or visitors to mark that they are willing to help.  We are hoping that this change will move us forward in our goal to be a church dedicated to Youth and Family Ministry and are excited to have as many members involved as possible.  We are looking forward to hiking through the wilderness of God’s love at CAMP SONSHINE, where scripture blazes a trail to our Savior… Jesus Christ.  Please join us in this
adventure!
